Welcome to the The Community Church of Wilmette
The Community Church of Wilmette is a faith community that seeks "to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before our God" (Micah 6:8).

We welcome members from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions, people who are seeking as well as those who feel more settled, and everyone in between. Together we strive to walk upon the "narrow road" with caring hearts, open minds, and peaceful souls. And yet, we do not believe, as anyone who joins us will plainly realize, that our collective mission requires from us a dour spirit devoid of any playfulness or poetry.

Whether online or in person, we are dedicated to nurturing our diverse communities and serving together with love and compassion.

As a congregation, we are affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA, a Christian denomination that embraces personal and religious freedom. We are also affiliated with the Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists, a coalition of congregations that support the full inclusion of LGTBQ individuals and families in our communities.
Sunday Morning Worship

The Community Church of Wilmette gathers on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am for worship. Our Sunday morning worship services are centered around music and poetry, readings from the Bible and other sources of wisdom, praying together for our communities, and an inspired word from our pastor, Rev. Dr. Josiah T. Ewing.
Our Sunday morning worship includes a wide variety of music, from traditional and classical to contemplative and contemporary works.

As a community rooted in Christian tradition, we celebrate the sacrament of communion on the first Sunday of each month. All are invited to join us at the communion table. We gather to remember the spirit of the One who helped construct a kin-dom in which no bodies must be broken and no blood will ever spilled.

A livestream of our in-person worship services is available at 10:00 am on Sundays. To join us online, click on the link at the top of the page. Livestreams of our services are saved on our church's Youtube page and can be watched there.
